I wish the Media could give us real christian heros.

With the latest crop of anti-heros headlining the movies, television and books, a person wonders what the media is selling. The good witch, the not so bad vampire or were-wolf, the family friendly villain, are all the rage. It is a trend that is telling a half-truth. You can be not so bad and that you are better than those even badder. They are all bad!
I would like to see a real hero that is portrayed as good, honest, god fearing, christian that does not have to use violence or super powers to help people get out of the mess they have made of their own lives, or help them when they have been victimized by others. But in today's comic-book media that would considered very boring.

If this christian hero would use spiritual weapons, available to all born again christians, to solve problems and see through evil plots, while remaining balanced and relying on faith, this hero would be ideal.

The media would probably have to portray the hero either as a saint, a self-righteous fanatic, some type of guru, or a con man with a hidden agenda to get rich or get more sex/love. But this hero would not be like this. The hero would be an ordinary middle class person with a job, spouse, family, church, friends, neighbors, and a community.

The problem is that if this ordinary hero can do this good, why are you not doing the same, now?
I doubt that a book with this type of hero would be popular to today's media.
